Z ll 2 l ' 1 nj il Little lamb, at least you remembered my birthdayf' Maybe you GYPSY This spring saw Wayne Lindberg and Paul Wood directing the Musical Comedy ccGypSY for the Campus Community. Starring roles were admirably handled by Barbara Eichhom, Dick Stafford and Karen Henry. Walter Ach- tert served as assistant to the director and general organizer of the production. Settings consisted of a permanent back wall and several movable sets representing hotel rooms, kitchen, offices and a backstage dressing room area. The show was presented Hve nights and was well received by campus and area audiences. Campus participation in this year's produc- tion was encouraging and offered hope that the Drew dramatics program might be re- vitalized. ,re satisied doing the same dull thing every dull day. The All University Drama group chose as its first presenta- tion Samuel Beckettis Endgame The cast, directed by Rich- ard Matthews, included Dave Morris of the seminary and Wayne Lindberg of the college in the major roles and John Peterson and Betty Wells of the seminary and college respec- tively in supporting roles. Assistant to the director Sally Gom- bieski CDrew '59l substituted for lyfiss Wells during the last week of performances when the latter was ill. An interesting set design by Skip Smith added to the numerous symbolic interpretations possible with Beckett. College and seminary students worked on the production crew. January 7 saw the cast in Princeton for a special performance on the Princeton campus. At Drew the ideas brought out by performances were discussed at a panel led by Dean Hopper of the graduate school.
