PROPHECY The big boom that was heard all over the world came from the big oil rush in Richards, Missouri of 196k My boss, Clement Barber and I, Shlrley Zlmmerman, came back to Richards where we wanted to buy all of the oll wells around, but to our great surprise, one of the local tycoon' Ruth Graves, had bought most of them already Clement and I looked up Ruth Graves anyway, and we were happy to find she had flnally declded to marrv the world's famous Radlo and Television Producer, Maynard Willlams, and she sold her oil wells to us She had bought the wells with the money she had made originally as A Hot Rod Driver Next we ran into Margie Politte who had become a famous dancer She immediately tried to charm Clement unto letting her buy some oil wells at half price It was then time for lunch, so we went to a blg cafe wh1ch read uSt1nky Llnky's Cafe, and to our surprise lt was owned by our own little Songbird Anna Mae Llnk She had had a part time wob ln a New York Opera House, but came back to Rlchards when the big oil b om started called nFr1t's Bank' Th s was owned by one of tne class who had once been a trucker, but flnally declded to retire and enwoy life, runnlng a bank Thls was none other than Kenneth Frltter We drove out about four m1les from town to a nice strip of land that Margie and Maynard wanted to buy, but when we arrlved there we found Louise Jamlson runnlng her own big Dairy Farm and she wouldn't sell Who would blame her, with all those handsome young men worklng for her? That nlght when the wnole class, wlth the exceptnon of one, was looklng for a :lace to stay The banker told us of a very exclusive hotel and there to my surprlse was the one who we had not yet found to c mplete our class, Wanda Budd She owned and operated thls nice hotel Gur class had a big dinner that evenlng and talked over our school days and our great adventures The next morning we all went back to our homes satis fied that each had attalned a high goal .
