Library Club A Library Club was formed this year for high school students interested in that type of work. Miss Shaw has served as adviser for the group. The members took responsibilities concerning the library. The duties of the librarians are such things as checking books in and out, placing them on the shelves, collecting fines for overdue books, taking care of the reference books and the rnag- azine rack, and putting up bulletin board dis- plays. Music Notes Music happenings under the directionof Mr. Oen during the 1950-1951 school year have been quite varied. At the beginning of the basketball season the band began playing at the home garnes. Those of us who played in the Pep Band will rernernber the narrow squeaks by which we got through some of the tougher marches. At Christmas time, after digging out musty band uniforms and cleaning them up, the band performed at the Commercial Club's annual Christmas Party. The band was asked to play for the Girls' Bas- ketball Tournament at Neche and did a splendid job with two skits and rnany marches. The Mixed Octet provided music at the De- cember ,meeting of the local P. T, A. The Mixed Chorus had several new num- bers for presentation at the Spring Concert as well as at the music festivals. The Girls' Chorus provided music for the Luther League in January, and also sang in the music festivals and at the Spring Concert. 32
