CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1944 eighty-one green freshmen entered Draper High School What a time we had trying to get accustom¬ ed to the place. Miss Canary Huff was our sponsor. Our class organized with Peggy Duncan, President; (Jharles Jackson, -Tiee- Presldent; Rachel Snavley, Secretary; Kate Qusenberry, Treas.; and Ray Phillips, Reporter. We became Sophomores before we knew it. This year we were under the leadership of Miss J ulia Parmer. We hsrtS become more accustomed to the place and found that it wasn ' t a bad place at all. Our officers this year was Davis Miller, President; Kate Qusenberry, Vice-President; Peggy Duncan, Secretary; and Betty Hubbard, Treasurer. This year the girls took IJome Economics for the first time. We felt very important to become Junior®. Ihis year we were guided by Mrs. Elizabeth McGavock. Our class elected the follow¬ ing as class officers: Nadine Shelor, President; Kate Qusenberry, Vice-President; Peggy Duncan, Secretary; and Betty Hubbard, Traes Ihis year we entertained the ' .seniors with a picnic at Carter Memorial Park. In December we were very happy to get to order our class rings. Last September we became seniors under the leadership of Mrs Canary H. Newman. ,We enrolled a class of twenty-four out of the oightv-one that started as freshmen. w e realize that some of them have encountered stumbling stone for which we are very sorry. Some left Draper to enter other high schools and will be finish- in them this year. We elected as our class officers the follow¬ ing: Rachel Snavley, President; Kate Gallimore, Vice-President; and Betty Hubbard, Secretary-treasurer. On Hallow-een we gave a masquerade party. In November our class rings came and everyone was Veryyproud of them. Now we are looking forward to getting our diplomas, but mixed with our deep emotions will be the sad¬ ness of saying goodby to our high school days.
