'n . . . . , U u n-- n , --- n ' ,-- . , . -- , -- , -- n , 1 I I . . . . . n . o ' , o , Q I mp QC June 20, 1964 Dear H155 Norberg, The class of 1954 was very sorry that you could not be with us at the class reunion yesterday This get together of your favorite graduating class was so much fun that we decided to write and tell you about it You should have seen us as we all arrived at the W1nslow Hotel happily greeting one another AS the morning progressed, our classmates arr1ved 1n all sorts of vehicles of which one of the most prominent was perhaps a long black sleek looking limosene and who should step from it but Bob Page who has become treasurer of G E Then a puzzling thing happened The chauffeur got out to greet us too After he took off his hat, we d1scovered that it was none other than our classmate, Ronnie K1nch who has had the Job of being Bob's private chauffeur for about two years As Ronnie parked the limosene we heard a lot of mumbling and grumbling about his driving from our Ruth Hanson Ruth must have thought she was still at Draper where, for the last five years, she has been teaching driver training Walking from the corner where the bus let him outlthe best he could affordb came Al Carnicelli While walking he seemed intent on a paper in his hand So intent was he that he nearly passed the entrance before he realized it As we looked over his shoulder wesaw that it was a play script in which he was the star All of a sudden we heard the sound of children's pattering feet and cheerful voices As we looked to see what was up, we saw another of our classmates but why all the kids, we wondered Come to f1nd out Alma Skell1e couldn't f1nd anyone to take care of her swarm of nursery school students of about 35 kids When roll call was taken we were sorry to f1nd that two of our classmates were not present We were wondering what had happened to cause Frank Ginther not to appear, when a knock came to the ballroom door It was a telegram telling us that Frank missed his plane from Alaska where he 13 pTaCt1C1Hg as a phychia trist As we signed for the telegram, we noticed that the Messenger looked fa milier Someone mentioned the word Draper and his eyes lit up as he greeted us warmly Then we realized that it was Herb West who, accord1ng to old highschool habits, had forgotten what day the class reunion was to D9 held Another student we found to be missing was Audrey Roberts Previously we had a telegram telling us that she would be deta1ned 1n Hels1nk1 for the 0lymp1cs of which she has been self up to be Superintendent of one of Newberry's largest districts but she told us this with a Slgh, because since she is now very seldom in the stockrooms, the stockboys have all quit S1hCe Sherm Merchant's electr1ca1 store had Just burned down because of faulty w1r1ng, he had no Job Rlght then and there he h1red out as manager of the stockroom 1n the Oneonta Newberry Store Evalena Scott had to leave the party early in order to get dressed for her Job as she had to work that night at 7 She has a Job there 1n the Stork Club as a cigarette girl Carl Carl son was a little worried about gett1ng back to Schenevus on time You see he is life guard at the newly opened beach which is part of the Amusement Park at Sche nevus Lake Larry Roseboom stepped to the rescue and told h1m not to worry be cause he would see that Carl would get home on time It turned out that he is president of TWA Airl1nes and has his own pr1vate plane also During the he1ght of the party, Cecily Greene got called to the phone When she returned, she ex pla1ned that she must also leave early because of an unexpected modeling Job 1 It seems that she is secretary to our Larry and does modeling for the Powers Modeling Agency on the s1de Joe Gutierrez passed out free passes to each of us to attend the Barnum and Bailey Circus He 13 one of the l1on tamers there We were sur pr1sed by Har11yn's non sweet diet We found out why She must keep in shape for she 15 now trying for the female wrestling championship We could not always understand Eleanor Bartells She d1d not always speak American because she forgot She is now an interpretor for the U N Out of a clear blue sky, Geary Whiteman yelled at the top of his lungs Come to f1nd out, hissherlffls badge was prlcklng him He is now qheplff of the city of Schenevus Although we enJoyed ourselves, we missed you We hope you w1ll J0ln us next time we have a class get together hunch s 13 . .
