E. Cokes being delivered by the gallons! Hot dogs are piled sky high! I've heard there's no class Mon- day! How the rumor flew! After winning the Brad- ley game, high hopes and hunches were everywhere. An ll o'clock meeting of S.F.C. confirmed it for sure. The few unbelievers who ventured to class were accompanied by those adorned for the day. Burmudas, sweatshirts, old clothes, and jeans were hidden under concealing trench coats in poorly-at- tended labs. . But sack-time was foremost in many more minds. Skip Day dawn was seen by few. The Ad Building saw even fewer. Demands were made with feeble support. The ever-loyal band played on. The day was officially proclaimed. One, two, three, the band - then blocks of cars streamed to the Capitol. Boistrous singing, gaudy chanting, and a calm official welcome followed the winding car caravan. The gallons of coke and the piles of hot dogs were handed out by. mustard-dipped shirt sleeves belong- ing to professors. The Union swarmed with skippers, buzzing over afternoon plans about the movie in the Ad auditorium, the party at the fraternity house, or the picnic on the edge of town.
