DEAN CARROLL GALBREATH New names and faces rae frequent on the campus at the beginning of the college year. Drake had many changes as well as the reunions for old friends return- ing to familiar surroundings. A September arrival on the Drake campus was Dean of Students Carroll V. Galbreath. Dean Galbreath came from the University of Denver to take an administrative position closely connected to the student body. Dean Galbreath faced an orientation program similar to the freshmen arriving on campus. He soon became acquainted with the activities, interests and customs of Drake college life. With a warm smile and willingness to help the students, Dean Galbreath became a big part of the year's activities. Two other names were added to the Drake directory by action of the Board of Trustees. Two buildings in the Quadrangle were named for former prominent Drake supporters. The dining hall, after being without a name for five years, was named as was the newest dormitory in the Quadrangle. Thus September started as college years do-with many new students and changes for the returning students.
