fy W 9 7- Y ' if A f,,' Tr Xxx ? 3 tv' -Y il Way back in 1925, we, the Freshman class of Doylestown High School, decided to take the 'Cold and Whitev yacht on a long cruise. Morris Cooper was elected pilot, with Idella Selner and Alice Moyer as his crew. During the first year of our cruise all main efforts were directed toward getting used to it. At the end of the year we decided to anchor over at Point Pleasant for a good old-fashioned picnic. We returned the following September all set to be Sophs. With the mien of dignified Seniors, we took the greatest delight in the Freshmen with their unintentional jokes. A change of crew was decided upon, except for our Treasurer, Sammy Moyer. We decided that her position was far too important to be changed very often. The new members of the crew were: Robert Wiser, Idella Selner, and of course, HSammy. The former crew now had more time to participate in the very numerous activities which we knew demanded their attention. A conclusion was reached that we just loaf for the summer, so we could be ready for duty again in September. Believe it or not-we started out with seats on Deck A. It was great! Our crew was again elected through a popularity contest, resulting in Morris Cooper and Edna Kriebel sharing the honors. The main event of the season was the Junior Prom. It was a knockout! In fact, the only thing to mar this great celebration was the fact that we had to bear the expenses. In June we were all given a two-months leave fMiss Lamb made us get permits, too.J September-Seniors! Big moments in little lives. Again our crew was changed. Clayton Gehman, Edna Kriebel and Alice Moyer served in the capacity of what, by this time, had become well-trained seamen. A brief pause in our voyage for a trip to London. MSO This Is Londonn was a rousing success, given by an all-star cast. We were now on the homeward stretch of our four-year journey, but by popular vote, decided to honor Washington, D. C., with a little three day social call. The only thing to spoil this trip lay in the fact that a decision could not be reached as to which room was the nicest. fPardon us, but partiality must not be shown.l Here we are home. May we, the Crew of '29, wish the '6Gold and White and all her crews on future voyages permanent success!
