.if JM' lg?-9 .sa H5255 ,yfrfkfcwy , ,Z ,, FRESHMAN YEAR This year with Mr. Williams as our advisor we elected our officers as follows: President, David Davis, Vice President, Barb Bull, Secretary, Marian Smith, Treasurer, Kathryn Brunner. Jean Burritt joined the class and at the close of the year Grace Van Hulsteyn, Jean Burritt, and Norma Akins left us. We began the year with 55146.38 in the treasury. To raise money we sold some stationery with Lucille Tum- minello and Larry Fitch as high sellers. We also had a bake sale and a dance with the Sophomores. SOPHOMORE YEAR In our Sophomore year with Mr. Williams as our advisor our officers were: President, Merritt Russell, Vice President, David Davis, Secretary, Marian Smith, Nancy Thompson, Treasurer, Kay Brunner. This year Jean Van Druff joined us and Ray Bivens, Harold Lake, George Dion, Dolly Barnes, Richard Tompksins, and Jean Van Druff left us. At the beginning of the year we started collecting paper, which we stored in 'Mr. Penrose's barn for future sale. After this came Freshman initiation. We also had two benefit movies, Al Jennings From Oklahoma and Darling How Could You. We sold D. D. S. banners at basketball games, held a spaghetti supper, sold stationery, and had a Leap Year Dance. All these activities turned out to be quite successful. JUNIOR YEAR With Mr. Herfort as our advisor our officers were elected as follows: President, Merritt Russell, Vice President, Joanie Sarri, Secretary, Marian Smith, Treasurer, Kath- ryn Brunner. During this year Shirley Hafele, Daris Havens, Nancy Thompson, Dora Jacobson, Joyce Finkle, Gail Simmons, and Henry MacDonald left us. This was a busy year for us with concessions at the Mardi Gras, pancake supper, spaghetti supper, Jr. Play, Little Dog Laughed, under the direction of Mrs. Muriel Sarri who put up with our antics for over two months. We also had the traditional Junior Prom, which I'm sure Kathryn Brunner will never forget. We then sold candy from April to the end of the school year. SENIOR YEAR With Mr. Herfort as our advisor, officers were: President, David Davis, Vice President, Kathryn Brunner, Secretary, Marian Smith, Treasurer, Betty Neff. Since this is our last year in good old D. C. S., we had lots of money to raise. We sold candy during lunch hours and at basketball games, had concessions at the Mardi Gras, sold Christmas cards, bake sales, benefit movies, held suppers and our Senior Play Foot-Loose, under the direction of Mr. Samuel Plotkin. The Senior Class of 1954 would like to thank everyone who helped make our Senior year a success. I -. 1. tm 1 tl Lx-4' 0. it -1
