For their high attendance forty girls received gold bars to wear on their letters. Our cheerleaders did a fine job of pro- moting school spirit and in leading us in cheering our teams. Its purpose is to develop aggressive rural coop- eration, citizenship and leadership. In this club boys are given a chance to study the soils of their farms, kinds of grain crops suitable to this area, care and breeding of livestock, and the repair and maintenance of farm machinery. These boys also learn to judge crops and live- stock and take part in judging contests. I The main activities of the DHS chapter in- clude a fair booth each fall at the Hutchinson Fair. They entertained their parents a banquet and recently they had a slumber party. Kayettes is a Kansas organization for all girls Their objectives are religion, personality, lead ership, appreciation, recreation, and service. This year they contributed to Save the Children Federation Meals for Millions, the Cancer Fund and sent hose to Japan.
