It also means much more, it means that you had a place in one of the greatest edu- cational agencies in the world. A good educa- tion is one of the highest accomplishments a person can earn. In our democratic form of government each person has an opportunity to attend a free public school. If you cherish this opportunity, then it becomes your responsibility to see that our way of government and our edu- cational system is not changed. Downs Kansas HHN ffomecamiug These students were elected by the student body to reign during the homecoming festivities. They were crowned before the game with Delphos and reigned while the Dragons de- feated the Delphos Maroons by a score of 31 to 26. After the game they were honored guests at a dance for the entire school. 'MW Babette Cowley was the class valedictorian, while Priscilla Cowley came in with a close second to be our salutatorian. Darla Pottberg, David Baak, and Charles Streit tied for the deserved honors in the junior class. A trio of sophomore girls, too, tied for first place in their class. They are Janet Rotman Kerry Cowley, and Lucille Bohm. Two girls, who are new to DHS, came to the front of their ranks to tie in the freshman classg they are Ioan Zimmer and Norma Guhn.
