Humes Mu ic Activities GIRLS' TRIO The Downs Music Department consists of a nice sized band, girls' glee cluh boys' glee club, and a mixed chorus. Also, there are other smaller groups as the pep band, girls' trio various quartet and duet groups. The mixed chorus and glee clubs take part in league and district festivals and sing at many local programs in school and for the community. The band attends the league festivals, which are held in various towns within the league and attend the district festival at Con- cordis. It plays for all of our local football games and marches in parades. The pep band is a very small group that provides entertainment at the basketball games during the season. - C, C- Jn The girls' trio and other small singing groups assist in many programs and activities of the school such as: feature during plays, the Christmas program, American Education Week, and many others. They are always glad to help the community with its pro- grams and entertainments.
