In September 1950 we entered school as freshmen with twenty three mem bers to start our four high school years We were the largest class 1n Downs Hlgh In early October Betty Mltchell moved to Kentucky Later in the year we had lI'lltl8.t1OIl and were then full fledged Freshmen Six of our boys participated in sports and four m F F A Eight girls were members of F H A Thirteen members of our class were 1n chorus and nine in band The big event of this year was the initiation of the Freshmen We prescribed the proper costumes of the day and then each Freshman had to stand trial in a Kangaroo Court at the end of the day A weiner roast at the home of Andy Jackson that evening finished the activities of the day Class officers this year are President Bob Larkin Vice President David Roopg Secretary-Treasurer, Jacqueline Webbg Reporter, Phyllis Graeng and Stu- dent Council Representative, Danny Rhodes.
