Superintendent of Schools Walter Hessing Downingtown Area Administration Dear Seniors, We’ve had an absolutely fantastic year, and I am very pleased to have had the opportunity to work with you. My first year and your last at Downingtown Senior High School was filled with many momentous events which will become beautiful memories for all of us. I'll always remember how welcomed you made me feel as your new principal and how proud I was while watching you perform both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities. You constantly demonstrated your quest for excellence, and I hope that the students who follow you here will continue to strive to become the best they can by refusing to settle for anything less. Our Ches-Mont championship teams, the Musical, “Hello Dolly, the Living Arts weekend, the many academic scholarships and awards you earned are examples of the tremendously successful year you have had. You can reflect on your senior year as the class with the first undefeated and untied football team in the school's history, as the class whose marching band was the State champion, and as the class whose principal truly enjoyed helping you prepare for your future. Thank you for making this year one of the happiest and most rewarding of my professional career. I’ll never forget your willing and gracious support nor your cooperative and mature attitudes. I wish you well in your pursuit of happiness and prosperity. The memories we share, after a year like this one, will surely bring smiles to our faces for many years. Thanks for a wonderful year. 4
