Sixth Period Tuesday? Of Course I Was In Class. Elmer J. Hemberfer Assistant Principal Millersville State College - B.S. University of Pennsylvania - M S. Involvement should be for everyone. If everyone could be involved m some worthy cause I am sure we would be living in a better world. Our students speak of involvement but many do not care to get involved in anything. Thank goodness the greater number of students do get involved in something constructive. Raymond F. Di Serafino Principal West Chester State College - B.S. West Chester State College — M.S. Temple University The opportunity to participate and become involved is and has been the ‘key' word at OHS. Our philosophy is to develop and effectively conduct a broad curricular and extra-curricular program so that a variety of opportunities may be offered to all students. Experience has convinced me that participation and involvement broadens one’s viewpoint, helps to bind students together, and develops a collective sense of accomplishment among the participants. It is definitely a phase of one's total educational experience. Harold A. Wentzel Assistant Principal Millersville State College — B.S. Temple University - M S. Planning the schedules of all students in the school so that they are able to take the courses that they need and want has. at times, been very difficult. The involvement in this schedule process is one area of the school that has been a most satisfying experience to me.” Barbara A. Skiles Secretary Janet M. Chalfant Receptionist Ruth E. Brookover Secretary

But I Don’t Want That Class Why Can’t You Change It? Cynthia M. Fitz Rosemont College - B.A. Villanova University — M.A. To be involved indicates a commitment to someone other than yourself. It always involves a risk, but it is always worthwhile.” Joseph R. Creamer Shippensburg State College - B.S. Temple University - NI.S. “Life in itself is involvement. Living from day to day. everyone gets involved. At home, at school, at work, at play, involvement plays an important part in the future of everyone. Whether a person uses the positive or the negative factors resulting from his involvement, this experience is used as a tool for forming a pattern for the life that he will live. Merle Geist. Secretary Marie Jenkins. Secretary George A. Pastino West Chester State College - B.S. Villanova University - M.A. Penn. State University Involvement in the optimist club of Downingtown has given me more insight in today's youth. The club is involved with youth projects. All educators should be involved both in school and community in order to grow. Marjory Volk West Chester State College — B.S., M.Ed. Involvement is what I have chosen for a lifetime career. At times, it carries the threat of risk, but the rewards in contributing to human growth far outweigh the liabilities.” 23
