DESCRIPTION OF FACILITIES The new Senior High School plant provides for a comprehensive educational program. The building has been sized to accommodate 781 students. However, certain general use areas, such as the cafeteria, auditorium, shops, gymnasium, have been over-sized to serve a possible student population of 1100 and the layout of the building will permit the construction of additional classrooms to accommodate 1100 students. The room schedule is as follows: 14 Regular Classrooms 4 Science Rooms 4 Commercial Rooms 1 Arts and Crafts 1 Library 1 Gymnasium—8715 square feet Shower and Locker Rooms—3800 square feet 1 Auditorium—8000 square feet Seating—800 1 Homemaking Suite—2000 square feet 3 Industrial Arts Shops—3200 square feet 1 Vocational Agriculture—3000 square feet 1 Music Room—1200 square feet 1 Health Suite—850 square feet 1 Cafeteria Dining Area—3350 square feet Kitchen and Storage—1474 square feet Faculty Dining Room—300 square feet 2 Faculty Workrooms—660 square feet 1 Administrative Suite—1320 square feet— consisting of facilities for principals, clerical staff, waiting areas, files, storage, vault, and guidance services. 1 Conference Room—330 square feet 1 Student Activity Room—330 square feet TECHNICAL DATA Structures: Steel frame; brick and block cavity walls at exterior; interior partitions generally of concrete block and structural glazed tile; floor slabs of concrete, finished with terrazzo in corridors, vinyl floor tile in classrooms, ceramic tile in toilet, shower and other wet areas; acoustic tile ceilings throughout.
