September 5 October 1 2 October October 27 November 7 1 December January February March March Aprs May 151 May une SENIOR ACI IWVI l1uS As Sensors we walked down the assles of the audstorsum wsth our heads held hsgh wsth prsde as we watched the envsous glares of the rest of the school We took our seats sn the fsrst rows for the fsrst tsme At long last we were Sensors' Boys may say all they lske about the vansty of the fasrer sex but we notsce that when psctures were taken there wasn tone fellow who dsdn t turn out sn hss best bsb n tucker The football team was whoopsng and yellsng on thss fateful Saturday evensng not merely because they were attendsng the Sensor War Dance but also because they had beaten West Chester l-lere s where we wsll not mentson the student day whsch we dsd not have Frsghtened werent you when that Sensor dragged you off to thot guarded room7 After you had been revsved you were surprssed to learn that you were only supposed to cast your vote for the man of your chosce PS thot gun they poked sn your back really wasnt loaded At thesr Sensor Leap Year party the gsrls w re very fortunate to obtasn that famous quartet composed of lootsse Hendrscks Bubbles Engle Babe Lenox and Fanny Daher who gave a very cultural though spontaneous performance Shall we dance? sasd one gsrl to another Now don t get thss wrong lhere were fellows at the Sensor Farewell party but they were too grsef strscken at the smmsnent departure of four of our class mates to josn sn the festsvstses We observed that they recovered sn tsme notsceably to dsmsnssh the food Dursng the all day rehearsal For the Psrates of Penzance every bodys nerves were subjected to much wear and tear but Mr Lenox was the one who really suffered lhss seemed to be the golden opportunsty to express hsmself wsth that one nasty expletsve he had warned us he msght have to use Oh what he sasdlll 8 9 The Psrates of Penzance strove to recapture the swash bucklsng days of the early Vsctorsan Era The only thsrsg we saw bucklsng were the knees of the performers Everyone at the lower end of the table wondered why Charles forte was so pale when he made hss speech at the Alumns banquet We learned later that hss condstson was due not to stage frsght but to lack of food lmle and Bruce Bsrd were served last and sn a group of three hundred thats nothsng to be laughed at You re bound to have a good tsme when you gather together a group of .lunsors and Sensors The Jtsnsor Sensor receptson was no exceptson The Sensors had a delsghtful tsme wnen the Junsors played hosts 8 My how these Sensors have aged' Une would thsnk that they After a week s recuperatson the Sensors had recovered suffscsently from the ordeal of exams to enjoy the blsssful peace of thesr dsnner dance thesr last socsal tsme together Well most of the sensors managed to wsggle out of appearsng before an audsence all year long but thss ss one assembly they can t evade Self conscsousness ond prsde jumble together and the net result ss knocksng knees and hollow stomachs fslled wsth butterflses But who would deny any Sensor a bad case of nerves After all commence ment ss the end of that brave adventure through hsgh school but just the threshold of the world around whsch they must roam sn order to fsnd thesr own partscular nsche Bump then oh knees and flutter aear tummy for thss ss st the begsnnsng of the world that we face o hrafely were havsng examsnatsons or somethsng Well weren t they Q8 W ' r 1 v 1 1 t l A 14ii x V . .
