A I . 3 , , . , Am- FOOTBALL This years edition ol the Downingtown l-ligh School lootball squad was made up ol a group of boys who were out-manned and outweighed by every team on its schedule, but what this group ol boys lacked in size they certainly made up in Fight, alertness, stamina, determination, and spirit that makes certain lootball teams standout from all others. The seasons linal record was good Five won, lour lost, but the thing above all else that caught the lancy ol the lans was the Fighting spirit that this squad maintained throughout the season, sometimes against what seemed like insurmountable odds. Highlights of the season were the standout lineplay, all season long, ol tackle John McGowan, and end Charles Forte, the driving lorce oi sopho- more Dick Dague in the backlield, and the inspired teamplay that was evident lrom game to game, Never-to-be-forgotten victories are those over West Chester C7-61 Bridgeport C6-O in the mudl, and Berwyn, the latter a sound thrashing to the tune ol Qi-Q. To next years team, those who will come back to school, we wish the very best ol luck. To those who will not be back, and especially the Following Seniors, best wishes always: Captain Charles Forte, Dan Massimini, Bill Valocchi, ,lack Lyons, George Baker, Dominic Dilfugenio, Frank Di- Qttavio, Sam Acker, Anthony Cozzone, Jonathan Windle, Bruce Bird.
