The story of outstanding achievement These two pages of the Saga of '64 have been reserved to give recognition to those seniors who have received out- standing honors, or have achieved par- ticular distinction in specific areas of their endeavors. The acknowledgment of the work and effort put forth by these students has been a great part of Downey High School this year. One difficulty in giving such recogni- tion in these pages is deciding where to draw the line in making the choices. PAM LEE Good Citizenship Award from the Wsef' Daughters of the American Revolution Bank of America Trophy winner in field of fine arts SUE CANNON Bank of America ff' Trophy winner in vocational arts , -1 qsfyigysagqfa-,sas There are many other seniors who have achieved outstanding success, who have been a distinct credit to their school, and who deserve a great deal of praise. Another difficulty is that some who are accorded distinction for specific achieve- ment are not given that recognition until too late in the school year to be included in this section. These, some of the leaders of our senior class, should be commended on their accomplishments, which have become a part of our Saga of T963-64.
