Facts from abaca to zloty are in the librar Q DORIS KIM Y A storehouse of the wonderful world of books is our library at Downey High. Every day before school, at lunch, and after school, as well as during the school day, the library fills with industrious students who take advantage of its materials. Library hours are from 7:l5 a.m. to 3.45 p.m. One ot the many tasks facing Miss Doris Kim, our librarian, is to maintain a quiet, study-inspiring place for con- centration. Teachers, especially teachers of English, bring their entire classes to the library, but must ar- range to schedule the time according the the facilities of the library. The library is a service unit of the school, and its purpose is to assist both teachers and students to do their best work. Aiding Miss Kim in handling the stream of stu- dents, checking out books and seeing to it that they are returned, is Mrs. Nona Spiecker, library clerk. bww ,iecka -' l. our books I, A Open shelves make it easy to find what you want.
