Absent: Jorlaine Hubbard, Campus Pal chairman Outgoing president, Cheri Meyers pins orchid on incoming president, Marilyn Johns NS Planning activities ot interest to girls is the purpose ot Girls' League. Although every girl in DSHS is auto- matically a member, the actual work is performed by the members ot the cabinet, composed ot girls elected by vote ot the feminine part of the student body. As is the usual custom, the League sponsored a Campus Pal program, with all girls new to the school being assigned a secret pal to make them teel wel- come. Although the League sponsors Such events as Luggage Day, Girl-ot-the-Month elections, and guest nights tor each class, the big event ot the year is the Girls' League dance, traditionally called the Sadie Any girl who wishes to take an active part in these activities has an equal opportunity by signing up to work on any or all ot them, thereby also qualifying tor points needed to become a member ot the girls' honor service clubs, Les Torcheres and Normaneers.
