0l'eLU0l' The discovery of the wheel marked one of the most important steps in man's development. It is one of the most fundamental machines ever discovered by him, for without it most of our modern methods of transportation and mechanical industries would not be possible. lt has shown itself in several forms--pulley wheel, grinding wheel, fan wheel, friction wheel, spinning wheel, steering wheel, record player and disk, and of course, the automobile wheel, to name only a few. This wheel, which is essential to our lives, might be compared to our campus. Uur campus is the wheel. The hub is the faculty and administration, around which we are centered. We, the students, are the spokes. The rim is composed of the organizations, activities, sports, and advertisements which we support. No part of our wheel can exist without the other. Since 7000 B.C. when the first wheel was invented by some nameless genius, it has progressed through the eras of time. Like the wheel, we too should leave our marks on the road of history. Only by constantly pushing ahead can we achieve success.
