1 y ' Uirne Qui for Clzoifv---Cafeteria A Music may be the food of love as Shakespeare once wrote, but Downey's Vikings reau're something more substantial, and that's what they get in the school cafeteria. Although would-be wits may joke about it, the simple truth is that the school lunch program is one which gives healthful, nourishing food ot extremely low cost. Limited space and a crowded enrollment, how- ever, made it necessary to dlvide the student body into two lunch periods, with the sophomores eating first, the juniors and seniors second. Mrs. Vola Barb supervises the cafeterias in the three junior schools as well as the senior high school.: and her cafeteria staff also manages the snack shack, which is open during snack period and both lunch periods. The cafeteria is also the scene of many special oc- casions, such as Parent-Teacher Association meetings, club banquets and other school parties, such as the Girls' L t D . eogue Sponsored Gues CWS MFLS.
