To Keep the Whee Providing for Vic's arrival at school on time, and his safe return home is a fleet of big 80-passenger buses, with Bus Dispatcher VV. F. McEuen arrang- ing the schedule and supervisng the drivers. This year, for th: first t me, Downey Union High School has employed only women as regular drivers, after ex- perimenting with this arangement last year. They have proved themselves capable, and their popularity with Vic and his friends is growing. These buses also take students on field trips, athletic teams to rival schools, and aid many school groups to participate in outside activities. In addition they serve both the junior high schools and the elemen- tary school.
