22 SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS FIRST SEMESTER Lucille Carroll, treasurer, Art Yokota, presidentg Cary Edquist, vice-president, Betty Vaillan- court lCurryI, secretary. The class of l95O feels that this last year has been a good one. As they look back over the past, they can remember the expectancy with which they faced their high school years. For some, all the things which were hoped for in fun and laughter came true, and for all high school was an important stepping stone to the future. Outstanding in the memory of the seniors this year was the Senior Breakfast, where, while helping to strengthen a tradition at Downey, they received their senior sweaters, Then came Senior Privilege Day, held at Irvine Park. Then the seniors presented their best talent in their class play, The C-lass Menagerie, March 23 and 24. ln-june, many of the seniors displayed their funny bones in their annual talent show, which was presented in the morning, and the the entire class spent the afternoon in the park and the plunge.
