Business Manager MR, L. E. WILLIAMS Business Office Few students realize the myriad jobs that need to be accom- plished each day by the business office staff. Vyfithout their hard work. under the direction of Mr. L. E Williams, we could nct have completed such a successful year. Holding the position of attendance secretary is Mrs. Verna Bennett, whose job is to make out absence cards. tardy records. and keep a general account of all attendance. Mrs. Marian Rae is our receptionist and office secretary. She does everything from taking dictation to answering the telephone. and gettting out the bulletins, Mrs. Agnes Deer is financial secretary, and keeps the records of all school accounts as well as financial accounts of all the school clubs. In junior High Mrs, Gertrude Odle is general secretary, while Mrs. Loretta Keasling is clerk. It would take most of this page to list all their duties, Mrs. luanita Burda alternates between Senior and junior l-ligh doing clerical and secretarial duties. With the growth of the Downey community still swelling the number of students of high school age, an expansion program has been necessary, and this has occupied most of their attention during this year. The board meets regularly once a month, but the president, Mr. Neil T. Rogers, can call a special meeting whenever it is necessary to deal with important business.
