HARRY' AND HAROLD This year we have been fortunate in having such two outstanding student body presidents as Harry Gifford and Harold Montgomery. Harry, first semester prexy, wielded the gavel in earnest and by the end of the first semester had sponsored a School Parade in which all the students partici- pated, resultino in the sale of S45,5l7 of war bonds and stamps for the Sixth War Loan Drive. X The second semester proved to be a busy one for Monty. He filled the iob well and completed the year with dignity. His services concluded a successful and event- ful school year. Qur Government Actual practice in the democratic form of government is experienced in the Student Council, which consists of representatives of classes, some organizations, and the publica- tions. Decisions on important matters concerning the welfare of the student body and their affairs are pondered on by this group in assembled session.
