A - GANG The CO has called A - GANG the Palestinians of the ship. They have equipment everywhere, but really have no home. Without them, however, any Navy ship would be lost (without even a shadow of a doubt). A - GANG owns gear everywhere. They maintain the ship ' s service diesel generator, a va- riety of pumps, the helo hanger, all the ice machines, the laundry equipment and most all ventilation fans, condensers, as well as the ships food refrigera- tion systems. Such an unbelievable spectrum of gear dictates that the men of the Auxiliaries Division must be professional, very knowledgeable and above all, motivated and flexible. This Division ' s performance is paramount to the success of DOWNES, and A-GANG always comes through. Left to right standing: ENS Steve Przesmicki, ENI(SW) Douglas Croft, MM FA Jason Murphy, EN3 James Yanasak, MM2 Holly White, FR Steven Griffith, MMC William Wright; kneeling: MMFN David Hatcher, MM I Wendell Witt, MM3 Frank Orthmeyer, MM2 Daniel Suffel
