REFTRA: making the grade We did it all. REFTRA, or Interim Refresher Training, was an intense period of train- ing for all of us. Damage Con- trol, well we were all over it! D.C. was just the flashy part, though. There was training for the Sonar Techs, the guys in Combat, the Engineers, 1st di- vision, EVERYBODY!! General Quarters, Unreps, rigging all sorts of gear over the highline, detect to engage scenarios, engineering drills, flying squad drills, anchoring and mooring to a buoy and lastly a collision with the USS FLETCHER, we knew we were ready for anything.
