The lnstructional Y Materials Center The Library at South is probably the most frequentedxorea of study in the entire school. Containing over 23,000 books, it offers a selection of information which easily meets the needs of every student at South. Students are welcomed at the Library Cmore formally called the Instructional Materials Centerl and fill it to capacity, doing anything 2 from cramming for a test to browsing through fn 4' the sports section of the daily newspapers. Q. Magazines, pamphlets, records and a wide variety of audio-visual materials are in con- stant use. Industrial Arts Downers Grove South has a fine program for Industrial Arts with many courses to choose from. lt is divided into the following specific areas: Drafting, Graphic Arts, lndus- trial Arts Design, Electricity and Metal- working. Students are able to develop skills in welding, lathe operations and offset- printing or study the principles of electricity and electronics.
