Home Economics This year the Home Economics Department has once again continued a fine program for all interested students. They have introduced new courses and revamped many others to fit the needs of everyone involved. Examples are the Foreign Foods course, where the investiga- tion ot cultures through food preparation helps one to gain appreciation of food customs of people throughout the world. Another is Starting on Your Own, which an- swers questions that anyone leaving home to set up housekeeping on their own would like to know. Industrial Arts Downers Grove South has a fine program for Industrial Arts with many courses to choose from. lt is divided into the following specific areas: Drafting, Graphic Arts, lndus- trial Arts Design, Electricity and Metal- working. Students are able to develop skills in welding, lathe operations and offset- printing or study the principles of electricity and electronics.
