Guidance Department ln their constant effort to meet the needs of the students, our Guidance Department continues to expand and modify programs at a rapid rate. For the most part they assist incoming students in making adjustments to high school and help them plan and carry out a high school program which is best suited far them. Upperclassmen find assis- tance in fulfilling requirements needed to attain their desired goals and educational career oppor- tunities. For many others, 0 counselor provides an invit- ing atmosphere where students will feel comfort- able to seek guidance with all problems and con- cerns. Home Economics This year the Home Economics Department has once again continued a fine program for all interested students. They have introduced new courses and revamped many others to fit the needs of everyone involved. Examples are the Foreign Foods course, where the investiga- tion ot cultures through food preparation helps one to gain appreciation of food customs of people throughout the world. Another is Starting on Your Own, which an- swers questions that anyone leaving home to set up housekeeping on their own would like to know.
