Foreign Language Department Parlez-vous francais? or l-labla espanol? lf you are having trouble understanding your friends la- tely, perhaps they are taking one of the many foreign language courses offered at South: French, German, Latin, Spanish, or Russian. The teachers in this department constantly think of new ways to enliven the classes. The pass-fail system encourages third, fourth and fifth year students to continue their studies of a language by relieving them of worry over grades.
