Edgar Lee Masters' Spoon River Anthology was presented in the auditorium on December l5 and lo. Directed by Mr. Richard Brickwell, this play explores the lives and deaths of the inhabitants ot a small town in Illinois. For the river is time and it flows toward the sea, and in leaving its banks, you are tree, you are free. But you're haunted, you're hunted, wherever you roam, Spoon River, Spoon River is calling you home. We're bound together, this world and mc, I am o part ofthe things l see, l am of nature, It is of me, l'm ot my maker, I am, I am. twenty-eight Here, world, I pass you like an orange to a child, I can no more with. Do what you will. . And suppose l saw what you never saw and never heard of and have no word for, l must talk nonsense when you ask me WHO? l see.
