The i Sports Scene What could be more American than G.A.A.? This is a club that is open to any girl who wants to add a little spice to her life. GATA. offers Intramurals and Recreation every Tuesday and Thursday after school. These events include tennis, speedaway, gym- nastics, volleyball, rec. games, trampoline, basketball, track, bowling and softball. In ad- dition to these activities, GAA. has several special events throughout the year, including popular powderpuff football, a Christmas party, open gym nights, Daddy-Daughter Night, a swim party, a slumber party-initia- tion, the Mother-Daughter Awards Tea, and a Feeder School play day. G.A.A. is also partici- pating on an interscholastic basis with other schools in our conference. This adds another big one for Women's Lib. In addition to its present list of various activities, G.A.A. is still trying to add to its current variety to gain the interest of more girls. one hundred forty

Grchesis Poise, grace, dance and stage presentation are things a girl can acquire from belonging to Orchesis. There are no qualifications for joining and everyone is welcome. Orchesis is busy throughout the year involved in major school functions. Orchesis members prepare and choreograph shows such as their Homecoming Show, Christmas Show, and their own annual show in the spring. Their Spring Show this year was entitled Flash- back, The show contained music and events Leaders throughout the years. To help supplement their budget, they also conducted a successful candy sale. Leaders play an important part in the gym classes. They aid and help the teachers by taking attendance, and leading exercises. Most important of all, they help ancl aid students who have trouble with gym class procedures. Maintaining high grades are nec- essary to retain a membership.
