The Girls Behind the Guys at South Thirty six girls who tried out lost spring were picked for the Fillie Squad, Downers South's Drill Teom. They provided holf-time entertainment with their donce routines ond morching moneuvers. Encouroged by Mrs. Chorolette Becker, the Fillies porticipoted in mony fund roising events, such os o monogrom condy . sole ond o potluck for the footboll ployers. The Twirlers performed with the bond ot the footboll gomes. Liz Ringwold storred in o performonce with fire botons to the music of Light My Fire . The Pintos were o new addition to promote school spirit. The ideo developed lost yeor ond he Q1 1 f spring try-outs were open to incoming freshmon ond sophomore girls. They storted out the yeor right by winning the orgonizo- tionol floot ot Homecoming. Since then they joined the Fillies in o condy sole. The Ette's The ettes are a group of girls who give their time to aid the Athletic Department in the smooth running of various sports. The Wrestlerettes go to the home wrestling meets to boost the morale of our team. They assist in timing the matches and keeping score. The Trockettes help by timing the running events and mea- suring distances for shot put. They support the boys while keeping a record of scores.
