Stelngraber s incredible endurance enables him to outkick the field, Trackmen Build for a Super '74 Calisthenics, hurdler's stretches, wind sprints - at least three weeks of torturous preparation down in that hot, muggy, stench- filled dungeon before the season even starts? Any trackrnan surviving this initial trauma will no doubt be able to suffer through any- thing the outdoor season can come up with, ranging from freezing rain on muddy cinders to agonizing foot blisters from llOO rub- berized asphalt. This year Downers had its usual massive frosh-soph turnout. The varsity was not quite as fortunate, but great promise is shown for next year because of this years junior crop which shattered ten school records as l972's super sophs.
