junior busy working on the hall decorating Mass hysteria among Seniors, contest. TCCJaVN wieieik inspires spirit Remember those five funfilled days that ev- eryone was allowed to bring out their school spirit to an extreme (without getting suspend- ed)? Remember walking through the first floor hallway on a sleepy, early Friday morning when, without warning, it changed into a wild jungle (Freshman hall decor)? That week, spon- sored by North's own cheerleaders, was Trojan Week! On Monday of Trojan week there was a sud- den rash of hats of all kinds on everyone. Yes, Mr. Conciar, we remember. Tuesday, students and faculty alike were blinded by people who had (supposedly) dressed in the dark. Wednesday, the class of '79 showed their strength and endurance by winning the pyra- mid building contest. Juniors came in third, and last but not least came the Sophomores. All of the classes put in much effort and energy1 On to Thursday, where the phrase I Hate Boys seemed to gain instant popularity, worn on hand-made heart-shaped buttons. It all led up to Friday. Massive hysteria in the form of good school spirit- the disco contest, the results of all the other contests of the week and shouts of we are great from all classes, accompanied by large quanities of confetti- all symbolizing faith in the Trojan way. When it all mellowed out, the Sophomores had prevailed for the week, with the super Seniors close behind. Then came the Juniors, and bringing up the rear were many bewildered Freshmen. It was a good week, thanks to everyone's sup- port. Super Sophomore pyramid. 22 TROJEAN WEEK
