The Board of Education, District N 99, under the direc- tion of Dean Spencer, is comprised of eight members. It is responsible for determining the policies of the Downers Grove high schools, thus playing a major role in maintain ing high standards of education. The Trojan Boosters Club consists of parents of D.G. stu dents. It lends its active support to the DGHS N sports programs throughout the year. Dr. Glenn E. Pickrel, school superintendent for District U 99 and 58 for the past seventeen years, is in charge of the school administration. School Administration The school administration makes sure that all students meet the basic college preparatory requirements, offers opportunities to explore educational, voca- tional, and avocational areas, and provides an environment in which each student can make optimum progress according to his own ability.
