1971 CAULDRON Staff Breaks with Established Yearbook Rules to Produce a Unique Book While Having Some Extracurricular Fun, Too Editors Dan Liberty and Karla Rice Working together to produce a distinctive yearbook, the 1971 CAULDRON Staff, sponsored by Mrs. Catherine McKinney, and under the leadership of Editors Karla Rice and Dan Liberty, confronted each deadline with a last minute push and an eye on cele- brating. The challenge of uniquely recording the events of the 1970-71 school year was met with many hours of work and a fresh supply of ideas. A new addition to the staff was photographer Rusty Zabler, enabling CAULDRON to pro- vide more complete school coverage. Plans for the general layout were completed by the editors during the summer. Section edi- tors, copy editor, typists, and business coor- dinator each contributed his specialized ser- vices to the completion of the yearbook as the editors supervised each aspect of the operation. 30 M acting deadlines involves late hours, hard work, and many headaches. Sona Stahl laughs in the face of disaster.
