mathematics Is Geared to Creativity Headed by Mr. Edward L. Paine, the MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT provides a variety of courses in math. The depart- ment's program is geared to the needs of today's students; courses are offered which challenge the mathematical ability of all students. Calculus, a college-level course, is offered to superior students. Team-teaching was initiated last year in order to make classes more interesting. The department has evaluated this program, and this evaluation has led to continuation of the program. Several overhead projectors and geo- metric models have been acquired by the department for general class use. This equip- ment provides excellent supplements to the texts.
