During the long winter months, it is easy to make new friendships. Each player does his best to represent his school in a winning game. Winter brings snow, finals, and dances A blanket of snow covering everything, boots slush- ing through half-melted drifts, barren trees starkly sil- houetted against a slate-gray sky—this was a picture of the winter of 1962. Girls’ thoughts wavered from dances and new taffetas and silks to the grueling mid-year exams which were fast approaching; the boys dreamed of snow- ball fights after school and the next exciting home basket- ball game.
