RALPH EATON We often wonder who will rule the world after he leaves. SENIOR CLASS WILL We, the Seniors of Dover High School, Dover Township, Shawnee County, State of Kansas, United States of America, North American Continent, Western Hemisphere, Planet of Earth, being of sound mind, do declare this to be our last will and testa- ment. To the faculty we leave four years of gray hair and shattered nerves. To Mr. Corkill we leave our initials and gum on every desk. To the Junior class we leave one long year and the title of being Seniors. To the Sophomore class we leave a new group of freshmen to beat on. To the Freshman class we leave the ability to defend yourself from the sophomores, juniors, and the honorable Seniors . — BEVERLY BACKERMAN, leave my ability to get along with others to Linda Blair. I, LINDA BROWNLEE, leave my naturally curly hair to Mr. Metcalf. I, REX CAMPBELL, leave my milk cows to Ted Ensley who likes to chase young heifers. I, LINDA DAVIS, leave my ability to cause so much trouble and never get caught to all those who do. I, RON GEORGE, leave my ability to get along with the girls to Mike Morand. I, LINDA FAULK, leave my Bozo pants to Cheryl Burgat. I, PHIL GINTER, leave all my loves, but a few, to Richard Bell. Take good care of them Richard. I, DICK GLEASON, leave my girlish figure to Danny Daniels. I, KAY HOFFMAN, leave my Homecoming crown to next year's queen. I, DARLENE MILLER, leave my ability to eat breakfast in third hour Study Hall to anyone who happens to be hungry. I, CHERIE RANDALL, leave my position as yearbook editor to Robert Bell. I, ALLANA SCHUTTER, leave my quiet ways to Barbara Knox. I, ANN SHULTS, leave my gentle ways to Lenny Schutter. I, FLOYD TODD, leave my ability to stay awake in class to Phillip Todd. I, LONA VILANDER, leave my good driving in my “hot'’ Chevrolet station wagon to Ronnie Beach. I, RON WRIGHT, leave all my fighting ability to Ken Bates. : May 28, 1976 Dear Mr. Johnson, I was driving through my home town of Dover the other day on my way to look up all of my old classmates. What a change! It is now a suburb of Topeka and is incorpor- ated. I was surprised to find that Dover had a lady mayor, who turned out to be none other than our very own Darlene Miller. During my visit with Darlene, she told me that Phil Ginter and Cherie Randall were Kansas Representatives to the United States House of Representatives this year, and that Ronnie George was the Secretary of War. (We hope Ronnie isn't as button happy as he used to be!) Floyd Todd is now the Shawnee County 4-H Extension Agent. Remembering how interested Floyd was in Agriculture, I'd say his job really fits him. Don't you agree? The Dover Chief of Police turned out to be none other than Rex Campbell. Remem- bering back to school days, that is hard to imagine. Bev. Backerman went to I.B.M. School to find out how those machines work. She now spends part of her time repairing them. When she is not working on I.B.M. Machines, Beverly spends her time as a car-hop at Dover's very own Allen's Drive- In, managed by none other than Allana Schutter. Dick Gleason is working at K.E.W.I. Radio's Dover branch now. In fact, he has his very own show entitled DIAL A DISC WITH DICK. (Wonder where he ever got that title !) Ann Shults opened the first beauty salon in Dover, and has just created a new hair style called the ‘Andy Pandy . Our folks thought the Beatle cut was long and shaggy, wait until they see this one! Kay Hoffman spends her time working as Dover's first Welfare Agent. She says she enjoys her work, but, since Dover is such a booming place, there are very few people taking advantage of her services. Dover sent it's first representative to the Miss Kansas Pageant this year. She was your old student, Lona Vilander. She came in tenth runner-up, but Lona says she'll keep trying. Linda Rae Brownlee was the guest star at the annual Dover Rodeo this year. She was the champion lady bull rider. Also in the rodeo was Ronnie Wright. He is now the world's champion rodeo clown. That's how we remember him, always clowning around! Linda Lee Davis is painting part-time now. She says she only paints enough to keep her 10, 000 acre horse ranch in funds. Well, enough of Dover's latest gossip. I hope you enjoyed reading about the Class of ''66 as much as I enjoyed reporting about them to you.
