The second year, 1921, the enrollment had increased to twenty, and another teacher, Miss Paulson, was added to the staff. The third year there were twenty-two pupils, and the fourth year, twenty- four. In 1924, Dover High School presented its first graduate, Russell Sage, with a diploma. From that time the enrollment and graduating classes have steadily increased. In 1934 a gymnasium-auditorium was added to the building and three years later, Dover High School was promoted to the rank of a Class B school. This year, with an enrollment of sixty-five, a staff of five teachers, and a graduating class of eleven seniors, we can look back with pride upon the growth of our high school and also look with hopeful expectation toward its im- provement and growth in the future. H Hr. A. J. Bassett has been principal of our school for eighteen years. Next in senior- ity is fr. Clyde Winter who has taught here for ten years. In addition to teaching various othe subjects, Mr. Winter has built up our manual training department to its present high standard Others who have served on the regular teaching staff have included, Miss Paulson, Miss Lowery, Miss Hildred Ross, Miss Hazel Smith Miss Mary Nace, Miss Walbeck, Miss Cynthia Payne, who was here for ten years, Miss Marguer- ite Aikin, Miss Faye Clark, Miss Merle Ross, Miss Bernice Kimble, Miss Marie Wood, Mrs. Harriet Barstow, Miss Leola Olsen.
