©MIT On November 11, 1986, the students at Dover High School had an opportunity to choose twenty seniors, ten boys and ten girls, to become Homecoming King and Queen. After the votes were calculated and the top ten boys and girls were announced, the senior class voted for five male candidates and five female candidates. The five girls and five boys receiving the highest amount of votes were announced the following day. The King and Queen and their court were announced at the Mendham football game. The winners were: King and Queen — Tom Mayes and Melinda McKnight, First runners up — Chris Welsch and Kathy McClellan, Second runners up — Louis Gyarmati and Noel Baker, Third runners up — Swade Jones and Yolanda Santana, Fourth runners-up — Rey Rosario and Eva Drosos. The psychology class and club deals with human behavior and topics of the human mind. For one class project each student becomes a parent to an egg for a week. This gives the student an idea of the responsibility involved with being a parent. The students pick a slip of paper from a box to see if their egg is male, female, or twins. The “parent must protect the egg from getting abused or broken during the week. Another activity is a trust experiment. The students have to trust their friend or partner to guide them safely around the school grounds as they are blindfolded. The Psychology club is composed of students who have taken or are enrolled in the the psychology class. Various trips outside of school are to institutions such as Greystone State Hospital and a trip to Green Wilderness. At Green Wilderness the students are shown some physical activities that helped them realize their self image. Activities 21
