J-oWi 'IfaaJiA oft QihcMA £ife • • In 1947 a mob of bewildered freshmen were introduced into the realm of Dover High. To some it was as terrifying as being thrown into a cage filled with wild animals; to others it was a wonderful experience. However, neither lipstick nor showers could deny us the new and wonderful feeling of being freshmen and losing our way around the building. In this, our verdant year, our officers were Ida Delvey as President, Wilson Chen as Vice-President, Robert Gardner, Treasurer and Anne Singer Secretary. In 1948 we were sophomores and we really felt superior to the newcomers around our halls. No opportunity to haze the freshmen was lost. We no longer lost our way or tried to take the nonexistent elevator. D.H.S. was now a familiar place. We liked the jobs Ida Delvey and Wilson Chen did in '47, so we re-elected them to their respective offices. Joseph Hussey was our Secretary and Robert Dartnell our Treasurer. 1949, and we were high and mighty upperclassmen. Almost at once we were plunged into class activities. The serious job of picking our rings was settled and we chose round gold or onyx rings. A fine committee, headed by Mrs. Anderson, our advisor, planned our prom, with heaven as the theme. Once again we chose Ida Delvey as our President, and William Chen as our Vice-President. Rose Cajigao and Anne Singer were our Secretary and Treasurer. We had a very impressive football season, holding the mighty Morristown team to a 0-0 tie. This year as sober” Seniors, we chose as our officers the very capable Robert Dartnell, as President; Ida Delvey as Vice-President; and Dorothy Chirip and Henry Sickles as Secretary and Treasurer. Mr. Rino Rastelli is our energetic and hard-working advisor. We can well remember all the wonderful times we enjoyed during our high school Merry-Go-Round. [8]
