FHA AND BACK-THE-GUYS FHA: Row 1: Jennifer Fox, Tracy Black, Pam Dolls, Cheryl Lanp. Row 2: Paula Sn der, Virginia Smith, Toni Bleininger, Kalin Minnift, Chri Wallace, Donna Hepner. Row 3: Indy Tripathy, Tracey Kcplingcr. Crystal V ork. Diane Newton, Cindy Knglish. Amy Tav. FHA had many worthwhile projects this year. December started the activities with the coat check and concession stand. Next came a Rock-A-Thon. babysit ting, bubble gum raffle, paper drive, havride, cookbook and hake sale, car wash, and a banquet. The girls had an Easter party for Starlight and they worked one Saturday for the Historical Society. Amy Tay ran for FHA queen and Donna Hepner was the regional recreation officer for regional meetings. The goal throughout the year was to work toward an award of merit. Miss Hill and Mrs. Class were the advisors who worked along with the officers to keep the club moving. Officers for this year were: Donna Hepner, President Crystal York. Vice-President Indi Tripathy, Secretary Chris Wallace, Treasurer Tracy Black, Publicity Back The Guys were active all year. Through support of our athletic teams, the girls strived to promote school spirit and good sportsmanship. During football season, they were responsible for decorations, cookies, and a great following to all the games. The Kick-Off Dinner, Basketball Team Dinner, Cross Country Party, and Baseball Party were sponsored by Back The Guys. Money making projects consisted of selling M M’s and bumper stickers. Members of the club sold tickets at all junior high basketball games, worked in the concession stand for a high school basketball game and the girls volleyball games, and helped the cheerleaders with the pep assemblies. Advisors for this year were Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Studer, who along with president Ellen Pretorious and secretary Peggy Bleininger ran the weekly meetings. The captains for this year were: Senior Captain Debbie Dorn, Junior Captain Tracy Davis, and Sophomore Captain Sherry Wertz. 28

Connie Ryan, Sarah Rey nolds. This years Y-Teens were very busy. So busy, in fact, ibal we bad a lot of trouble running them down to find out exactly (Exactly?) what it is that they do. Well, we practiced up on our track and when they were slightly winded, we found out that they worked at the receiving home and the rest home and generally helped people. Mrs. Kamsey and Miss Archinal ably advised this busy group, w hich is here pictured in their classy t-shirts. It took a great deal of time to get them calmed down enough to sit still, so take that into account. 30
