C.O.E. “SNEAKS” Cooperative Office Education is a course where the student goes to school half the day and works the other half with teacher-employer supervision. Vi c, the 1977 C.O.E. class, had an interesting and exciting vear. Our biggest event we did as a group was the “C.O.E. Sneek . Remember girls? We raised money for our annual Employer Appreciation Banquet by selling Christmas candles, candy bars, and having a Paper Drive. We also worked in the concession stand and coat check at a basketball game. Serving as representatives for the eighteen members were: Supervisor. DOVER PUBLIC LIBRARY DOVER, OHIO OF D.H.S.???!!! The Junior High Student Council was very active this year. Mr. Moeller and Miss Kennedy were the supervisors. They did a great job as always! I was TOI.D that the purpose of this club was to develope attitudes of. and practice in good citizenship, both in and out of school: to improve school morale; and to promote the general welfare of the school. Well, we won't pass judgement on that . . . BUT. What the Junior High Student Council did do this year was provide a lot of good times for a lot of good people. Some of the activities they sponsored were: Hirkday-Barn dance; 50’s day dance; pillow-fight and pizza eating contest and a million other contests and activities. All I have to sav is GOOD JOB JUNIOR HIGH STUDENT COUNCIL!!!!!!!!! This years officers were: Pres. James Black: Vice-Pres. OCCUPATIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE The eighth year of the O.W.E. (Occupational Work Experience) Program had fifteen members, led by President Bob DeWire and Mr. W'illiam LoPresti as coordinator. The 1976-77 O.W.E. class took first place over all in the BJVS District Track and Field competition at New Phila. This was the second time in two years that the Dover OWE group finished first.
