REPRESENTATIVE SENIORS Each year the seniors choose two of their classmates as representative senior boy and girl. On the basis of leadership, citizenship, service, character, and personality, the class this year chose Betty Ballard and Jerry Wallick. Betty Ballard Betty, chosen to represent her class as a delegate to Buckeye Girls’ State in her junior year, is again chosen to represent her class because of her leadership ability. Her busy schedule includes membership in Band, Leaders Club, Y-Teens, Future Teachers of America, and National Forensic League. In several of these organizations she holds an office. Because of her outstanding scholastic achievement, she became a member of the National Honor Society in her junior year. Betty also capably directed the prom decorating committee. Betty's service, dependability, and pleasing personality have won the respect of all. Jerry Wallick Jerry, who in a quiet manner reveals a good sense of humor, is very active in athletics and extra-curricular activities. Leading the senior class through a successful year is a large responsibility, but he still finds time to participate in student council functions and to work with the senior assembly committee. During the fall Jerry was a member of the varsity football squad, and now he actively participates in the intramural program. Besides all of these activities, Jerry is an excellent student, having received membership in the National Honor Society in his junior year. Because Jerry fulfills the objectives, character, leadership, scholarship, and service, he was chosen to be a representative senior. We of the class of -1956 would like to wish Betty and Jerry success for the future in whatever they may endeavor.
