Seven foreign students from International House, New York City, came to visit our Dover community in Ianuary through the co-operative efforts of civic and school groups and interest ed persons. One of these students, Mr. Srinivasan, left the following thoughts with us The purpose of true knowledge through education is to realize and under- stand the differences among peoples and to work for a method by which we can make this World a happy place in which to live. These thoughts have been nobly expressed by the great dreamer 'Tagore' in Gitanj ali in the following prayer, Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high, Where knowledge is free, Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls, Where words corne out from the depth of truth, Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection, Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit, Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action- lnto that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.
